Today, I pureed a can of artichoke hearts with a can of (chicken) broth. I put it in the saucepan and added parsley, cayeene pepper and dill, and the butter. It was good. It tasted a little lemony.
You can do the same with a can of pumpkin. Mix it with (chicken) broth and add ginger, cayeene and parsle. This is delicious too.
You can puree any vegetable and add beef or chicken (or vegetable) broth. Broccoli and leeks are great pureed.
